Deze prachtige en stijlvolle saloon van Bentley werd in 1965 voorgesteld aan het publiek als opvolger van de Bentley S3. De luxueuze Bentley T series is vanaf het begin een groot succes. Van de ruim 1700 geproduceerde exemplaren, is deze schitterende Bentley T1 er een van. Het is tevens een van de weinige origineel Nederlands geleverde auto’s. Dat maakt deze auto al extra bijzonder.

Oorspronkelijk is deze Bentley T1 geleverd in de kleur Brewster Green door Automobielhandel VH Grund & Co in Utrecht. Daarna heeft de auto verschillende eigenaren gehad, deze zijn geregistreerd in een uitgebreid historie en specificatie verslag wat bij de auto aanwezig is. Eén van de eigenaren was zelfs Theo Heuft die in de jaren tachtig eigenaar was van de legendarische nachtclub Yab Yum. Alleen dat feit al, geeft de auto een unieke collector status.

In de afgelopen jaren is de exterieurkleur tijdens een restauratie gewijzigd naar het stijlvolle en populaire 'Sand over Sable’. Het interieur is ongewijzigd en origineel gehouden. Verder is deze Bentley T1 nog origineel en ‘matching-numbers’.

De auto verkeert in een bijzonder mooie conditie. Het lakwerk is nog heel mooi te noemen en ook het chroomwerk is in prima conditie. De carrosseriedelen sluiten prima aan en alles voelt zeer solide aan. Dit mag je overigens ook verwachten van een auto uit het premium segment. Ook het interieur is nog origineel en in goede staat. Uiteraard heeft de auto zowel van binnen als van buiten elementen van patina. Het resulteert in een schitterende en stijlvolle Bentley T1 in prachtige conditie.

De auto rijdt en schakelt goed. Sturen voelt zeer soepel aan en het rijcomfort is zoals het een echte Bentley betaamt. Het is werkelijk een genot om in deze Britse saloon te rijden. De automaatbak schakelt soepel en sturen en remmen voelt goed aan. Alle instrumenten werken naar behoren en ook de verschillende elektrische voorzieningen werken prima.

De onderhoudshistorie is helaas niet volledig, maar het overzicht van eigenaren gelukkig wel. Ook is de communicatie rondom het bestellen van deze auto in 1970 en 1971 ook (digitaal) aanwezig is. Verder is er nog een afleverchecklist aanwezig die in die tijd door Bentley werd gebruikt.

This beautiful and stylish saloon from Bentley was presented to the public in 1965 as the successor to the Bentley S3. The luxurious Bentley T series has been a great success from the start. This beautiful Bentley T1 is one of the more than 1700 units produced. It is also one of the few original Dutch delivered cars. That makes this car extra special.

This Bentley T1 was originally delivered in the color Brewster Green by Automobielhandel VH Grund & Co in Utrecht. The maintenance history is unfortunately not complete, but fortunately the overview of owners is. The communication about ordering this car in 1970 and 1971 is also (digitally) present. There is also a delivery checklist that was used by Bentley at the time.
