Met gepaste trots presenteren wij dan ook deze prachtige Thriumph TR6 uit 1975. We hebben momenteel een paar hele mooie TR6 modellen in de showroom. Veel Liefhebbers kwalificeren de TR6 ook wel als de laatste echte klassieker. Een uiterst fraai en technisch goed doorontwikkeld model uit de TR reeks dat begon met de TR2 in 1953 en eindigde met de TR8 in 1981. De TR7 en TR8 waren weinig succesvol. De TR6 werd gebouwd tussen 1969 en 1976. Deze TR6 is één van de latere en is gebouwd in 1975.

Klassiek Aktief heeft deze auto geïmporteerd uit Canada. Beter gezegd, het was een restauratieproject dat was gestart en bestond uit een rollende basis en vele tientallen dozen en verpakkingen met onderdelen. De Canadese eigenaar kwam helaas te overlijden en kon zijn levenswerk helaas zelf niet afmaken. Met een perfectionistische aanpak was de restauratie aangevangen. Een minutieuze inventarisatie van de uit te voeren werkzaamheden en aan te schaffen onderdelen werd gemaakt, alle onderdelen werden nieuw gekocht, indien mogelijk New Old Stock. De totale techniek werd gereviseerd, de originele matching motor, aandrijflijn, versnellingsbak, remmen, enz. , maar bijvoorbeeld ook alle dashboardinstrumenten werden gereviseerd. Kortom te veel om hier te benoemen, maar werkelijk niets werd aan het toeval overgelaten.

We besloten de auto naar Nederland te halen om het restauratieproces voort te zetten en de TR6 af te bouwen. De inzet daarbij was; het moet goed, het heeft geen haast en alleen het resultaat telt. Het heeft dan ook een paar jaar geduurd, maar het beoogde resultaat is gehaald. Er staat vanaf nu een schitterende, nieuwwaardige Triumph TR6 en wat ons betreft in een van de mooist mogelijke kleurstellingen in onze showroom te glimmen. De auto ziet er niet alleen fraai uit, maar rijdt ook fantastisch. Het weggedrag, de power, het geluid, het is allemaal genieten. Er is veel restauratie documentatie en een berg facturen voorhanden. De totale kosten overstijgen de prijs van de auto ruimschoots. Het is onmogelijk een auto tot dit niveau te restaureren voor deze prijs. Alleen aan nieuwe en/of gereviseerde onderdelen is al ongeveer € 30.000.- uitgegeven. De kosten van alle arbeid, spuitwerk en dergelijke zijn hier uiteraard niet bij inbegrepen.

Om het sportieve karakter extra te onderstrepen, hebben we ervoor gekozen om een mooi set verchroomde verstralers te monteren. Oorspronkelijk was deze Triumph TR6 geproduceerd in de kleur Java Green, maar de Canadese eigenaar had besloten om de kleur te wijzigen naar het prachtige Carmine Red. Tijdens de voortzetting van de restauratie hebben we ervoor gekozen om de auto te voorzien van een prachtig lederen biscuit interieur. De auto is volledig matching-numbers en het Certificate of Heritage is bij de auto aanwezig.

It took a few years, but the intended result was achieved. From now on there is a beautiful, new-quality Triumph TR6 and, in our opinion, in one of the most beautiful possible color combinations, shining in our showroom. The car not only looks beautiful, but also drives fantastic. The handling, the power, the sound, it's all enjoyable. There is a lot of restoration documentation and a mountain of invoices available. The total costs far exceed the price of the car. It is impossible to restore a car to this level for this price. About € 30,000.- has already been spent on new and/or overhauled parts alone. The costs of all labour, spraying and the like are of course not included in this.

To further underline the sporty character, we have chosen to install a nice set of chromed spotlights. Originally this Triumph TR6 was produced in the color Java Green, but the Canadian owner decided to change the color to the beautiful Carmine Red. During the continuation of the restoration, we chose to equip the car with a beautiful leather biscuit interior. The car is fully matching numbers and the Certificate of Heritage is present with the car.
